FaQ"Drop-off" service
Drop-off service means that OCK will bring the food to you. This option works best for more informal events, during which you do not mind doing some work.. All cold or room temperature items will be ready to go on disposable serving trays. Hot items will be in oven proof trays, and you will need to keep them in the oven or chafing dishes and place them on serving trays later. No servers provided. OCK provides only compostable and disposable items for a drop off service. .A delivery (and pick up fee if needed) will apply, which can vary depending on both the location of the event and equipment needed. We do not offer the option of picking up the food, drinks, and service yourself. Rental items such as tables, chairs, linen, glass and silverware, etc.
OCKcan arrange all of your rental needs from the usual party items such as tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and silverware, to more elaborate items such as fine china, crystal, and specialty linens. We can also arrange for larger items such as canopies, stages, and dance floors. We use a few local rental companies with a wide variety of items for you to choose from to enhance your event. Set up and clean up.
OCK provides flexible options for your budget. Our staff can set up all tables and chairs; dress up and clear all table service; clean the service/kitchen area, leaving it as it was found; and break down all equipment at the end leaving it ready for pick up. If you prefer to cover some of these tasks to save money OCK will work with you on options. Beer, wine, liquor and bartenders.
OCK can provide beer, wine, and liquor for your event. If you prefer to purchase your own alcohol, OCK will serve it with no corkage fee. OCK is a full service caterer and can provided all of your staffing needs. Charge for labor.
OCK charges for its staff by the hour, based on a five hour minimum per staff person. We do our best to estimate the amount of time that our staff will be needed for your event. However, since many variables exist, the final cost is based on the actual time worked. For large, full service events, we require an event manager to oversee the staff and ensure the coordination of a successful event. Staff needed at your event
Your staffing needs will depend on the size of your event, as well as how elaborate and formal it is. After we learn more about your event and your needs, we will recommend the proper number of staff to ensure that your event goes smoothly. Below are some general numbers: |
1 Server for every 25 people for a buffet dinner, 15 people for a simple plated dinner, 10 people for an elaborate dinner.
1 Chef/Cook for every 50 people for a buffet dinner, 30 people for a simple plated dinner, 20 people for an elaborate dinner
1 Bartender for every 75-100 people for beer and wine, 75 people for a full bar
1 Floater for every 50-75 people may be added depending on event specifics (site venue, layout, etc)
1 Event Manager/Crew Lead for events that at our discretion require staff supervision to ensure a successful event

Other charges
Our proposals include an itemized list of all food items, equipment, delivery, labor, and gratuity charges, so that you can see exactly what the costs are going to be. There are no hidden fees. OCK does not include gratuity for all events. If you feel the staff has earned a tip, in an event where gratuity was not included, you can give them cash or include it in the check and OCK will distribute it. The industry standard is 15% of the food cost.

Extra charge to cut the wedding cake
In some cases OCK will charge a cake cutting fee. OCK does not make wedding cakes, but can recommend some great bakers.
